In this version, the protagonist is Chris "Izzy" Cole, a huge fan of the metal band Steel Dragon. He's so obsessed with them that he sings as well as, or even better than, Steel Dragon's lead singer. One day at a Steel Dragon concert, he's heard singing even better than the band's original singer, and from that moment on, his life changes forever. The film definitely captures the life of a rock star, with its highs, excesses, and lows.
The main character is played by the great actor Mark Wahlberg, and his girlfriend (because in the film he has a girlfriend who accompanies him from the beginning) is played by the great actress Jennifer Aniston.
