Yeah, that's the problem with universities etc., they expect people to absorb stuff in so much time, but some absorb stuff slower, but that doesn't mean they don't know it at the end.

I suppose it would be WoltLab because it's only 129 Euros, but then again, with the exchange rate now, that would be around 150 USD. That's not much lower than $195 for XenForo, in my opinion.

Very rarely do they come to my phpBB forums. I suppose it's because of my user registration thing where I ask people to spell words backward.

I have blogs on my sites, in addition to forums. However, I haven't done much on them except for what was on the religious site (now off the air scheduled to be remade soon). I did a lot of work on the religious blog, just as I had on the forum, and I did as much work or more on the blog.

My projects are too small for staff, but if I ever had staff, no matter the forum size, I feel like I would need to pay them in money or something they might find valuable like forum posting, for instance.

I pay for it from my own money. Only with way more traffic could I consider a self-running operation.

I bought a cute phpBB forum named LazyForums.xyz. Anyone remember that one? It was seen around on Forum Promotion way back. Note: I had to give it up later, but I forgot why. This whole situation was in the 2010s and I'm so much into forums that I have trouble keeping track of things.

I've hired people to post, but my ideal situation, one I haven't tried, would involve hiring for the long-term, like two or three years. I think that's the best deal.

As an admin, I've actually only used XenForo as an admin. And as for free software, I've used the major brands as an admin, but not WordPress forums. The forums would be SMF, MyBB, and phpBB. And, a free forum software that looks interesting for an admin is NodeBB and WordForo (WP plugin)...

Some like the DIY nature of free software. I mean, not everybody needs and/or wants things out of the box.

I'm into phpBB at the moment and use it for my two forums. Before I was mostly into XenForo. Anyway, though, I've used all the popular free forum software minus WordForo and bbPress. I've only used XenForo for premium software.

It takes a while to "get it", but some don't want to wait and I understand.

If I'm the admin, I have to ban. I might give a warning first to sound merciful, lol.

TapaTalk might have a good paid version, but the free version is cluttered with ads and MyBB has become difficult to work with, so that's why I have avoided these two choices especially.

I studied C ++, VB.net, C # .net and Java at a community college. I got good grades in all of them except for C ++ which was only a C. It was in the 2000s. In fact, I think VB.net isn't even used anymore. That sounds awesome.

Spartacus is one of my favorite ones and I'm sure those other ones are good also. And I also enjoy TV sitcoms, but just the ones like Fresh Prince, ALF, Sanford and Son, stuff like that.

In the 80s I was a child and had an Atari. I liked Pitfall Harry (a game like Mario etc.) and Pole Position (a racing game). They were loads of fun and proof an advanced game isn't necessary to be fun.
