Chromecast has been the best in my setup since 2022 and I see no reason to change it. It's cheap, my phone controls everything. The smart tv apps are just too slow for me. What's the best streaming device for your setup?
I tried it once and at the end of the month, I felt robbed. Half the apps are untouched, now I rotate them. Pay for one, complete it, then cancel it and sub for the next one.
These days I just cancel everything and stay off the screen for like one week, no notifications, no trailers, nothing, when you come back fresh even normal series feels new again, forcing yourself to watch content is pure suffering. What do you think?
Netflix is still on top of my TV even with all the nonsense lately. Though they still have some interesting series to binge. But we cannot also say that all the content is superb. What do you think?
Last month, I stumbled on one random netflix documentary, I watch it till morning. I couldn't sleep as it was so interesting. Well shot, no unnecessary dragging and the story is tight, unlike some series that would intentionally create more seasons for money.
Comedy has changed, that’s all and it's because of the internet. The old comedies had simple jokes, now everything is niche. There are still funny stuff out there but you have to search harder. Laughter did not disappear, but the delivery changed.
I don't mind it. In real life, people are complicated. Showing why someone turned bad makes the story deeper. But balance is highly needed. So, we should not make crime look cool. Some villains still deserve zero sympathy.
I still drink small but not too much. I like to remember how I entered the new year. Plus alcohol prices are crazy now. One bottle in my area is like $6. So, a calm celebration is enough for me.
I used to share until netflix started warning. I got tired of “too many devices” message. Now it’s just me. If someone wants access they should pay as well.
Honestly, I think it deserves respect. For its time, it was crazy. I rewatched it recently and some parts dragged but the emotion still landed. The music alone is good. Some people just like calling old popular movies overrated. It's not flawless but it earned its place.
Yeah we do, and I actually use one at the moment. When the light is stable and data cooperates, it’s fine. ???? The problem is the catalog. You would complete the interesting movies very fast as they are so few.
It’s an elephant. It's calm and powerful. I saw one documentary and I was amazed. Their memory is strong and they are family-oriented. They don’t rush life, just steady kind of life. Their quiet strength beats the noisy ones any day.
For me, it was a minimalism doc. watching people live with less makes sense. I started decluttering after. It's not extreme but it's helpful. Sometimes we stress ourselves with too much stuff. Clarity improves when space is clean.
I might see one friend if the rain allows it. So, it's nothing serious. Maybe watch a match and gist a little. The weekends don’t need too much pressure.
Food, full stop. Groceries almost finished all my money quietly. The price of rice, oil, Indomie, everything is up. You go to the market with other $200 and come back confused like what did I even bought.
Mine was “Grave of the fireflies”. Someone recommended it casually like it’s normal cartoon. I finished it and just sat there, the emotions was huge. It's one of those movies that shouldn’t be watched when you’re already tired.
I tried VPN once and gave up. The speed drop really annoyed me. I'd rather wait or just not watch. Plus the data drains very fast. If streaming platforms remember Africa more maybe people won’t bother.
It’s very unlikely. I watched one documentary once and they’re calm. Imagine explaining to visitors why spider is inside a cage. I'll just admire them from afar. Pets should reduce stress, not add some suspense.
I'm aiming to learn one solid skill and stick to it, no more jumping around. I paid some money for one online course last year and never finished it. In 2026 I want to remain focused and finish what I started.
Sonic for me. I didn't expect much but it surprised me. I watched it in one small cinema in my area, the tickets were like $5 then. It was fun, not trying too hard. video game movies usually disappoint but sonic was calm.
