On most social media platforms, there's usually the option of using either your phone number to create a new account or using Google to sign up.

Which option do you prefer using to create a new account on any social media platform you want to start using? Do you find it easy using your personal phone to create an account?

I usually use my email to create new accounts since I’m not comfortable sharing my phone number. I prefer keeping my personal number private and rely on email for verification and communication whenever possible.

It's easier to use for 2FA.

I usually prefer using Google to sign up. Because if I ever need to switch phones or numbers my account isn't tied to that specific number.

I don't usually sign up with my phone number, but I also use my phone number to secure my account. For instance if someone tries to log into my Facebook account from a different device, it will ask for OTP on my phone.

Google is my favourite too. I used to do it with my phone number but after a while, I stopped and used only Gmail. It saves me a lot to time and I feel it's more secure.
