Has House of the Dragon Raised the Bar for Fantasy Politics on TV?
The show focuses more on strategy and tension than large battles. GOT was more into big battles where as HOTD is into ground politics. Does this make fantasy storytelling feel fresher, or do you miss the scale of earlier Game of Thrones? Which character arc do you think feels strongest right now?
I think that credit should go to Game of Thrones. House of the Dragons certainly explores political intrigues but I believe GOT did it better. I haven't watched political intrigues in that magnitude in any other fantasy shows.
