A lot of recent indie horror titles lean heavily on quick shocks instead of slow dread. Does that take away from the atmosphere that made early hirror games memorable? What are some indie horror games that still rely on tension instead of loud scares? What kind of horror actually sticks with you?

Unfortunately, it seems so. I hope they evolve soon; they can't rely solely on something so basic and simple. They need to deliver good, quality terror, not just stick to the basics of this predictable horror.
