Plot: Imprisoned in the 1940s for the double murder of his wife and her lover, upstanding banker Andy Dufresne begins a new life at the Shawshank prison, where he puts his accounting skills to work for an amoral warden. I have watched the movie, it is nice. When someone asks me to recommend a nice movie that is not only entertaining but also liberating, I sometimes suggest The Shawshank redemption. The movie is about hope and survival.
 
It seems like yesterday when I Shawshan. It's one of those films you can't possibly get out of your head so quickly. Even as I saw the title here, it strike me again regardless of how much time has passed since I watched it last. I think it was a bit slow at the beginning but it became better as it progressed. The director did a decent job in hooking the viewers. I recommend it if you haven't watched it yet.

  • Warden Samuel Norton: [to new inmates, after explaining the prison routine] Any questions?
  • Prisoner: When do we eat?
  • Captain Hadley: [Approaches prisoner] You eat when we say you eat. You piss when we say you piss, and you shit when we say you shit. You got that, you maggot dick motherfucker?
