Is cancel culture justified or harmful?

Naughty words are "just words", easily ignored, not taken to heart.

Cancel culture raises complicated questions. Some see it as accountability when powerful people face consequences for harmful actions. Others think it becomes harmful when it turns into public shaming without due process, leaving no room for growth or apology. The line between justice and mob pressure often feels unclear.

As one example, the times are way different in the past then now, and to be honest, to truly be PC, Washington DC would be renamed or maybe Little Caesar's Pizza.

It's harmful and completely unjustified; most of the time they cancel in such a stupid and senseless way that it should cease to exist.

I'm not out to offend or oppress any ethnic group but I feel cancel culture is catering to people being oversensitive, honestly.

Honestly it's really complicated and I think there's truth on both sides. Sometimes cancel culture is totally justified like when someone with a huge platform does something genuinely harmful, abusive,or dangerous, they should absolutely be held accountable and face consequences for their actions. That's fair.


But way too often, cancel culture goes completely overboard and becomes this destructive mob mentality.

Cancel culture is just like mob justice, people act on impulse. They don't sit an analyze whether the person is right or wrong, they go with the flow. I can see sometimes it can be justified especially if the country;s lay fails to deliver justice.

It's right when it's right and wrong when it's wrong.

I think most of the time, it's used for wrong.

But karma is a b, and karma will come back and bite those that deserve it.

I don't have time for silly social issues. The fact people have time for them shows they don't have real problems, but in a way, that shows nothing tragic is happening to them now which is good.
