General One lesson life thought you the hard way?

Life often has a way of teaching us various lessons, what's one lesson life has taught you the hard way? For me it's the fact that no matter how you treat someone with love, you can never make them love you the same way, or this does not guarantee them treating you the same way.

Being poor.

At one time, I was so poor that I could only eat ramen noodles, I couldn't run my heater in the coldest of winters, and I was close to hypothermia because it got so cold in my house.

I had too much pride to ask for help. I somehow managed to live like that for a couple of years until I finally broke down.

I learned a valuable lesson in life and started working hard to make sure that didn't happen again.
